Art Clubs
Having a strong belief that exploring art and creativity is crucial to enriching a child’s learning experiences, my projects are designed to help children explore new topics in a fun and creative way…
I love to run Jenna Doodles art clubs and to work on independent art projects with schools and community groups too.
Schools
I love working with children of all ages and can work with classes or year groups of all sizes. Each visit is tailored to your school’s requirements and can cover a wide range of topics.
Feel free to message me to discuss various options to make your morning or full day of book-readings and workshops as fun and engaging as possible. I take all school author visit bookings via Yvonne at Authors Abroad who will also be able to help you.
I often visit solo, or I can also visit with the amazing author Lucy Reynolds - as an Author/Illustrator duo!
Making Books
Another project I love to run with schools and communities, is to help groups to create a book together.
In this case, at Trinity First School, I spent one term visiting their year two pupils (weekly) where we worked together to research, write, design, illustrate and publish our very own beautiful book! This is an incredible way to not only learn how to create a book together, but to add a whole new dimension and understanding to a topic too.
Art Clubs
I run Jenna Doodles Art Clubs - these tend to be during the school holidays in my local area (North & East Somerset).
Regular clients/venues include Babington House’s Teeny House.
I also love to collaborate with singer & musician Willow at Sing-a-ling to create really fun sessions for children involving music / movement / art / crafts.
Events
Here are a handful of arty and booky events I’ve worked on recently… from designing and delivering the 2023 Happiness Hub at the Bath Kids Lit Festival… to running a pumpkin-themed art event at Hauser & Wirth.
Book Festivals
Since we’ve created 4 imprints together, myself and Author Lucy Reynolds have shared our books at several festivals including The Bath Children’s Literature Festival, The Herne Hill Kids Lit Fest, The Barnes Literature Festival… and more! We work so brilliantly together on stage with our finely-tuned interactive presentations. Head over to Doodles & Scribbles to find out more about our books, festivals and collaborations.
