I work from my home in Somerset and love to create quirky and colourful illustrations inspired by nature, wildlife, conservation and community.

As well as developing fiction and non-fiction picturebooks, I enjoy working on all kinds of family-based creative freelance projects: from murals to maps and activity trails, with clients including The National Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital. And, because I strongly believe that exploring art and creativity is an important part of enriching a child’s learning experience, I also love running workshops with schools and community groups too.

My work is created by combining pencil drawings with digital art and collage to create a tactile effext. I love layering my illustrations with delicate textures which have been curated from sketches and close-up photographs (of bark, moss, metal, fabrics, rust, water reflections, anything...). I can’t go for a walk for long before stopping to catch the beauty of some light on a leaf…

Whether it be for a book, a billboard, a map, a booklet, website or animation… I love to illustrate and design for a variety of purposes - especially environmental and community-based projects. I’ve had wonderful feedback from The National Trust, Plastic-Free.Period, Green and Healthy Frome, The Kindness Connection, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and many more… you can find more information about my recent projects here.

As well as illustrating and designing for a wide range of clients, I love to run art clubs and to work on independent art projects with schools and community groups too. I have a strong belief that exploring art and creativity is crucial to enriching a child’s experience at school, and so my projects are designed to help children explore new topics in a fun and creative way.
