Hiya, I’m Jenna.

I am an illustrator based in Frome, Somerset - UK.

I’ve had a love for visual storytelling ever since I was a little girl - when I used to carry my sketchbook everywhere I went…

After school I studied Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Art, and then went on to enjoy a career in magazine publishing.

And now I combine my fine art background with playful and colourful design, by working as an illustrator!

My work is often created by layering detailed pencil drawings with delicate textures which have been curated from sketches and close-up photographs (of bark, moss, metal, rust, water reflections, anything...). I can’t go for a walk for long before stopping to catch the beauty of some light on a leaf!

I’ve illustrated four children’s picture books including the widely praised We Are Family by Lucy Reynolds - you can find out more about them here.

As well as illustrating and designing for a wide range of clients, I love to run Jenna Doodles art clubs and to work on independent art projects with schools and community groups too. I have a strong belief that exploring art and creativity is crucial to enriching a child’s experience at school, and so my projects are designed to help children explore new topics in a fun and creative way.
